Reining All-Around and Tie-Down Roping World Champion Trevor Brazile showed off his great horse Texaco at the Fort Worth (Texas) Stock Show AQHA Horse Show by competing on him without the aid of a bridle or tie-down.

Brazile made the run after being dared by fellow tie-down roper Cade Swor. He tied his calf in 7.8-seconds, but was disqualified because AQHA rules require the use of a bridle.

Texaco (Real Cool Dual) was runner-up for PRCA/AQHA horse of the year in 2004 and 2006.

The other bridle-less run of notoriety came when Brent Lewis rode his great horse, Grumpy, without a
bridle or tie-down in the finals of
the 2001 Dodge National Circuit Finals Rodeo.
